Tackle & Tide answers two questions: where should I fish in Maine, and what should I bring?

It is run by Bold Coast Marketing Group, a small Maine digital shop that builds guides to the outdoors we live in. We are the same crew behind Maine Society, an outdoor guide to the state's trails, campgrounds, and lakes.

How we source fishing information

We prioritize primary sources: Maine IF&W lake surveys, reports, and inland laws; Maine DMR recreational regulations and coastal-access records; National Park Service rules; NOAA tide and weather data; and municipal records for local access.

Factual fishing guides and location records carry source links and a last-checked date. Seasonal guidance is not a live bite report, and anglers should recheck access, conditions, and official rules before every trip. When we do not know something, the page says so.

The money part

Gear links are affiliate links, which is how a free site pays its bills. The disclosure spells it out and how we choose gear explains the method. The short version: nobody buys a recommendation.
